A Rhode Island Church - More illuminated worship with new church video projection
Providence Presbyterian, ProvidenceRI
Video Projection System
In June of 1986, two Presbyterian churches came together to provide a Presbyterian witness to the city of Providence. Providence Presbyterian Church is located at the corner of Hope and Mt Hope Streets on the Providence’s East Side. Today more than 130 families share the religious community. Adding new video technology has offered the congregation more ways to deepen their connection to worship.
A creative way to keep the focus at the altar The pastor, David Watermulder, wanted a vehicle for display scripture and hymn lyrics for the congregation. The parish also wanted to be able to offer lyrics to songs not available in older hymnals. Video projection solved this beautifully. Worship software presentations these as well as religious imagery, and event information onto retractable a projection screen is highly effective for the parish. The system has always been used for video presentations for new church members. Youth and family film presentations are also in the works. The church's New Video Projection provides education, outreach and worship for this parish. And they say that is "just great".
Large-format hymn lyrics, scripture, announcements, and religious imagery keep the focus at the altar.

Better Communication Video Projection is becoming an integral element of the worship service. Discovered by many clergy to be an invaluable tool, video improves the way messages are communicated. Vivid displays are inviting but also beneficial, especially to those seated in more distant pews. And, enlarged text, lyrics and images assist visually challenged parishioners.
Technically Speaking
The video projector was column mounted to design specifications for optimum projection. The church aesthetics were also a factor. The mount blends seamlessly with the beam. The sleek lines are visually quiet to the eye. it extra flat surface offers vivid graphics and clear text. The 8-foot electric projection screen offers high performance and tough duty. It offers long lasting reliability and attractive design. Highly functional it retracts quickly and quietly with the push of a button into a casing that is colorized to match the interior environment.
