St. Brigid Parish; South Boston Chapel and Parish Hall Sound Systems
Established in 1908, St. Brigid Parish is home to 1,400 active parishioners. With the highest Mass attendance count in South Boston St. Brigid must be proactive about church upgrades and renovations so they can meet the needs of their vibrant parish community. As part of the renovations before their 100th anniversary, Power Sound of New England was invited to design and install the new audio system for the Chapel and Parish Hall. Our history with this well-loved South Boston parish is extensive. We designed and installed the current audio system in the upper church in 2004 and have provided audio visual systems for the sister parish, Gate of Heaven.
It is like many parishes that St. Brigid has honored us with their trust for multiple projects of a period of years. To us, this is the most sincere compliment about or work. We work hard to earn the trust of our parish customers like St. Brigid and Gate of Heaven. And we are delighted have had the opportunity to design custom audio systems for all of their amplified parish spaces.
The Chapel Daily Masses needed amplification. The space is smaller than the upper church, but used frequently with varying attendance.
The Parish Hall Lower halls are often considered less-than-desirable spaces, if considered at all. Most of time they are a lower level space with limited applications and frequently they have older poor quality sound systems. St. Brigid wanted to be able to utilize their space for a variety of events. After analyzing the spaces we designed a custom audio system, based upon their use specifications, ensuring that the chapel and the parish hall sound will always be clear and intelligible.
Custom setting for any environment We pre-programmed sound scenarios based on the parish’s needs. The parish can select which type of event the space will be used for and the sound quality will be exceptional every time. Multi-zone speakers provide a full range of coverage for multi-purpose rooms.
Cost effective More efficient use of lower level and chapel space saves on the heating and cooling expenses of the sanctuary thus saving parish resources.
Church Renovation: Power Sound is on site during renovations. Pre-wiring for speakers and podium microphone was completed during construction.
Prior to installation speakers were painted to match new wall color. They offer effective sound coverage in the chapel for both daily Masses and other services
We now have outstanding new audio systems in our Main Church, Day Chapel and newly renovated Parish Hall, thanks to Power Sound! As part of major renovations, our new improved sound system, which complements the system they provided in the upper church in 2004, will be especially appreciated during our upcoming celebrations of St. Brigid Parish’s 100th Anniversary in 2008. ~ Very Rev.
